How Willow & Sage Catering Turns Every Rumson Wedding Into a Culinary Celebration

At Willow & Sage Catering, weddings are built around food, hospitality, and thoughtful planning. From our home at 36 Bingham Avenue in Rumson, NJ, we serve couples across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania with modern American cuisine and full-service coordination that keeps the focus on your guests and your experience.

Willow & Sage Catering creates memorable Rumson weddings by combining personalized menu planning, seasonal modern American cuisine, and organized full service coordination. Couples begin with a consultation and tasting, then choose reception styles, menu selections, and enhancements that match their vision, while the catering team manages food service, timing, and event details throughout the celebration.

Great food changes the energy of a wedding. It brings people together, starts conversations, and creates moments your guests remember long after the last dance.

A Wedding Menu Designed Around Your Vision

Every wedding we cater starts with a conversation and a tasting. From there, we guide you through planning so that your menu, layout, and service style feel aligned with your celebration.

Consultation and Tasting With Our Team

We begin with an initial consultation and complimentary tasting. You share your ideas, venue details, and preferences. We walk you through menu options and decor possibilities so you can see and taste what your wedding day could look like.

After that, we prepare a personalized proposal based on your menu and design concept, available through a web-based dashboard. During planning, we coordinate timeline details, catering logistics, layout considerations, and vendor recommendations. By the time your wedding arrives, the plan is clear and organized.

Modern American Cuisine With Seasonal Ingredients

Our menus focus on modern American cuisine made with fresh, seasonal, local ingredients. Each menu is customizable and includes dietary accommodations such as vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, so every guest feels included. For cocktail hour, couples often choose a grazing table with international cheeses and seasonal fruits. Passed hors d’oeuvres such as bacon-wrapped scallops, Asian short rib pie, black Angus cheddar sliders, and tuna poke create variety and keep guests engaged from the start.

Dinner can be served in a plated format, buffet, or dinner station style. Plated entrées include braised short ribs, rack of lamb, filet mignon, roasted free-range chicken, Atlantic salmon, and vegetarian options like roasted carrot and parsnip Wellington or cauliflower steak. Salads such as roasted beet with goat cheese and citrus vinaigrette or signature baby greens with feta and balsamic vinaigrette round out the meal. Our culinary team prepares each course with care, and our professional staff ensures service runs smoothly throughout the evening.

Reception Styles That Fit Your Guest List

We offer reception formats that include a one-hour cocktail reception followed by a four-hour dinner. Couples can select sit-down, buffet, or dinner station style service based on the atmosphere they want to create.

Interactive stations such as an Asian Wok, carving board with steak or filet mignon, craft tacos, pasta station, or mac and cheese bar encourage movement and conversation. For dessert, we provide a custom wedding cake along with passed desserts like French macarons, mini cupcakes, tiramisu, truffles, and warm cookies with milk shots. Enhancements such as a gelato station, hot cookie dough, s’mores, or an espresso and coffee bar can add a fun closing touch.

Enhancements That Support the Full Experience

As a full-service catering company, we can provide specialty china, flatware, custom linens, farmhouse tables and chairs, cocktail lounges, portable bars, tenting, flooring, staging, lighting, floral and décor enhancements, and restroom trailers when needed.

Coordinating these elements through one team helps keep communication clear and the overall look cohesive. Our hospitality-focused staff works to ensure your guests feel well cared for from arrival through dessert.

Bar and Alcohol Policies

We believe clear communication makes planning easier. Willow & Sage Catering does not provide alcohol. Alcohol must be ordered and paid for by the celebrant. Bartenders are available upon request, and we recommend one bartender for every 50 guests to maintain steady service. Non alcoholic bar setups can include juices, sodas, bar fruit, and essential bar equipment, so your reception bar is organized and ready.
