Every couple comes to us with a different idea of what their wedding should feel like. Food plays a big role in that. At Willow & Sage Catering, we personalize wedding menus so they reflect how you eat, how you celebrate, and how you want guests to experience the day.
You can personalize your wedding menu by building it around your tastes, guest needs, and the flow of your day. That usually includes choosing a service style, selecting seasonal dishes and cocktail hour bites, planning dietary accommodations, and adding desserts or stations that match how you want guests to celebrate.
We are a full-service catering company based in Rumson, New Jersey, serving weddings across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Our approach starts with listening, then shaping the menu around your tastes, guests, and the way your celebration flows.

Personalization begins during your initial consultation and tasting. We talk through your food preferences, dietary needs, and the service style that fits your day. Our team walks you through menu options and shares guidance based on your guest count and venue layout. From there, you receive a personalized proposal through our online dashboard. It keeps everything clear and easy to follow as your choices come together.
Our menus are rooted in modern American cuisine using seasonal ingredients. Some couples want a plated meal with a clear pace. Others prefer interactive stations so guests can move around and try a few favorites.
Chef attended stations, like a carving station with filet mignon or short ribs, which can create a social feel during dinner. Plated selections such as pan-seared Atlantic salmon or roasted free-range chicken offer a classic flow, with a vegetarian option like cauliflower steak or vegetable ratatouille. Dietary accommodations are part of the plan. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available and built into the menu from the start.
Cocktail hour sets the tone for the rest of the night. Many couples personalize this part of the menu with passed hors d’oeuvres and a grazing table display.
Menu examples include bacon-wrapped scallops, black Angus cheddar sliders, and four cheese arancini. Grazing tables can feature imported cheeses, seasonal fruit, bruschetta, and flatbreads. It gives guests variety right away and helps the room feel lively.
We offer buffet, plated, and dinner station style receptions. Each one supports a different flow. Plated service helps keep timing consistent. Stations let guests eat at their own pace and keep conversation moving. Buffets offer familiarity and variety. We help you choose the approach that fits your priorities and your guest experience. Our professional staff handles service throughout the event so you can stay present with the people you love.
Alcohol is not provided by Willow & Sage Catering. Alcohol is ordered and paid for by the couple. Bartenders are available upon request, with one bartender recommended for every 50 guests. Non alcoholic bar setups include juices, sodas, bar fruit, and essential bar equipment. George’s Wine and Spirits is listed as a recommended vendor for alcohol purchases.
Dessert is another chance to make the menu feel like yours. In addition to a custom wedding cake provided by Calandra’s Bakery, many couples choose passed desserts such as cheesecake lollipops, French macarons, tiramisu, or warm cookies with milk. Some couples add dessert stations like gelato or hot cookie dough to keep the energy going later in the night.
From planning through execution, our culinary team and hospitality staff work together to deliver a meal that feels thoughtful and well-paced. Many of our couples come from Rumson, Little Silver, Fairhaven, and across Monmouth County, plus Hoboken, Jersey City, and Montclair. Wherever your wedding takes place, our goal stays the same. Food that feels personal, with steady service you can count on.
